Photoshop Elements 6 is very easy to use. In fact, it is easier to download photos from my camera with Photoshop than using the software that came with the camera.
The program has lots of advanced features as well, but anyone should be able to do simple tasks like downloading photos, cropping, and setting print areas almost immediately.
I also have Photoshop CS but I find myself using the Elements everytime instead. Elements 6 is layed out in a manner that doesn't get overwhelming and their website has great tutorials - free. I highly reccomed this product and will be in line to purchase version 7 when it comes out.
